Change Your Specialty (Main & Additional Specialties)

By choosing your specialty, Read will take this information into account to recommend you articles. If you have chosen to receive notifications and emails from us, these will also be based on the most popular articles from your specialty. You can also choose to have additional specialties on top of your main one, which we've provided instructions for below. If you are looking for the Read Web version of this FAQ article, click here.

Android Version

How to Change Your Main Specialty:

1. From the homepage, click the Settings icon at the top-left of the screen.
2. Press the option for My Account Details.
3. Under Account Details, select Specialty where you will be taken to a list of all the specialties. Click on the specialty that you would like to make as your primary choice.
4. Click on the Check sign to confirm your specialty.

How to Change Additional Specialties:

1. From the homepage, click on Edit (pen icon), where a list of all the specialties will pop-up.
2. You can choose as many specialties as you would like, but keep in mind that this will alter Read's recommendations for you. Click on the Check sign to confirm your selections.

iOS Version

How to Change Your Main Specialty:

1. From the homepage, click the Settings icon at the top-left of the screen.
